After Applying Your Sensor — Important Care
First 24 Hours
- Keep the sensor area clean and dry immediately after application
- Avoid pressing or knocking the sensor unnecessarily
- Allow the adhesive to fully settle on the skin
- Be aware that glucose sensors take up to 24 hours to settle (marinate!) and can initially look a little different from capillary blood glucose readings. This is normal. Do not be alarmed. The glucose sensor readings will settle down after the first few hours.
Minor awareness of the sensor is normal when first applied.
Getting Accurate Readings
- Keep Bluetooth enabled on your phone
- Keep your phone reasonably close during initial connection
- Follow any calibration or setup prompts shown in the app
If readings appear unexpected, allow some time for the sensor to stabilise after first activation.
